This Art Medal commemorates the achievements of Cornish tin miners. A limited edition of 500 and made from pure 19th Century Cornish Tin. Designed and sculpted by David Holland, the obverse depicts mining tools, sheave wheels, the Lamb laying down the flag of St Piran and the mythical Phoenix awaiting the day when Cornish Tin may again be mined. The reverse shows the labyrinth of shafts, tunnels and galleries in the underground world of mining.
