In recognition of your service we are proud to present the Women's Service Medal. This superb silver plated commemorative medal is dedicated to the courage, compassion and sacrifice of those who have served but whose contributions have often gone unrewarded. Britannia, cherubs and forget-me-nots signify the patriotism, love and strength of women who have served in HM Armed Forces or as a civilian during peacetime or hostilities (minimum 28 days service). 

A wonderful Gift
Not just a ‘survivors’ medal, it is available on behalf of the recipient, or next of kin, making it a meaningful and historic gift for those unable or too modest to apply in person.

Both Military and civilian versions of the medal have a ribbon made up in amethyst, rose and white silks, colours to represent the femininity, hope and pride of the wearer. The civilian version of the ribbon has the white stripe omitted.

The Women’s Service Medal is made exclusively by Bigbury Mint in our Devon workshop. This medal is available ready to wear and may be personalised with additional engraving, clasps, display frames and plaques.
